The Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough (CFGP) released the 2016 edition of Greater Peterborough’s Vital Signs® October 6, 2016 during a launch event at The Mount Community Centre.
Greater Peterborough’s Vital Signs® is used by many people and organizations in our community to educate, champion issues and bring people together to create change.
Greater Peterborough’s Vital Signs® 2016 is being distributed on October 6, 2016 as a four-page special section in the Peterborough Examiner.
The report is also available online at cfgp.ca/vitalsigns, and print copies can be picked up at the CFGP office.
Peterborough is one of 34 Community Foundations across the country releasing Vital Signs® reports during the week of October 3 - 7 as part of a national program coordinated by Community Foundations of Canada.
A special thank you to the 36 community partners who contributed to the Greater Peterborough Vital Signs® 2016 report and to Darren Murphy, who made the partnership with the Peterborough Examiner possible.
Registration is open for 2016 Philanthropy Forum
Building from the success of last year’s event, Philanthropy Forum 2016 will include two days of programming, festival-style, in downtown Peterborough, allowing for more opportunities for networking, longer workshop sessions for in-depth learning, and some of the best speakers to be found – both locally and beyond our community.
Philanthropy Forum 2016 has something for everyone in the sector, whether you’re staff or a volunteer, just getting started or an old hat, working in the arts or in health care. There are many ways for you to engage with Philanthropy Forum this year: register for the whole conference, share a pass or just come to the sessions that work with your schedule.

Dr. Roberta Bondar to Headline 2016 Philanthropy Forum
Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough is delighted to announce that Dr. Roberta Bondar has accepted our invitation to address participants at the 2016 Philanthropy Forum as our keynote speaker. The program will also include an opening plenary by Stéphane Grenier of Mental Health Innovations.
Philanthropy Forum brings Greater Peterborough’s non-profit sector together for professional development and networking. Last year, over 200 people from the philanthropic sector participated in 17 sessions over a 2 day period. This year, CFGP is planning even more sessions!
Philanthropy Forum will take place November 15-16, 2016 in Downtown Peterborough. You won't want to miss this exciting event so save the date!

CFGP has annoucned the 2016 grant recipients for the Community Fund for Canada's 150th
On June 20th, 2016, CFGP announced the 2016 grant recipients for the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th have been announced, in addition to the recipients of the Donor Advised Funds and Agency Funds.
In all, 26 organizations received grants, bringing the total amount allotted to nearly $140,000. These grants bring the cumulative amount CFGP has invested in various organizations and community projects in the Greater Peterborough Area to more than $1 million since CFGP's first grants were made in 2011!
